Based in Zurich and Beijing, Tria is an independent publishing house for contemporary art, with a focus on books on art and theory.
Collaborating closely with mainly Chinese but also international artists, the publishing house focuses on unique projects, developing new visions for printed matter and producing books in small print runs.
Tria was started by curators and art critics Antonie Angerer and Anna-Viktoria Eschbach, together with the graphic designer Sonja Zagermann, in 2015.
Publications that will be launched during BJDW are: • “On the bright side there is color“, Michael Bodenmann Jiajia Zhang, 2015 • “i:Cowboy“ Daniel Stubenvoll, 2016 • “Lin Ke“, AR publication project, 2016
The exhibition in Baitasi will showcase the four first publications of the Sino-Swiss publishing house. Further it will introduce its use of Augmented Reality in printed matter and there will be an Augmented Reality presentation on site. The backdrop of the showcasing of the books will become a multi-media storyboard.
